Our Story
Uptown Needlepoint was created with the belief that needlepoint is about more than what you make it’s about slowing down, finding joy in the process, and sharing something meaningful with others.
This shop was designed to feel welcoming, familiar, and a little special every time you walk in.
Behind the Brand
The monkey in our logo isn’t just a symbol, it’s a piece of home. Growing up, Jan’s '7th sibling' was Philbert, a lucky pet monkey who famously shared breakfast with her beautiful mom (pictured above) and hosted ice cream parties for the neighborhood. Everyone loved him!
Today, Philbert represents the curiosity, creativity, and joy we bring to every canvas. He is a daily reminder that the best creations come from a place of fun, exploration, and a little bit of mischief. At Uptown Needlepoint, we believe every project should be as playful and full of heart as Philbert himself.
